Expungement Facts

Important things to know re: Expungement

** Not all criminal convictions can be expunged.  

** There is a period of time after each conviction that the court may consider until it is able to be expunged. 

** There must be a petition filed in the court where you were charged.  

** There is an application fee required to file expungement.

** Once a court orders an expungement the court file must be closed.  

** Arrest records can also be expunged.
